Package Inclusions:
- Transport throughout in an air-conditioned luxury coach with pickup and drop off from your preferred venue in Johannesburg.
- Services of an expert tour guide/facilitator (per vehicle) and assistant as well as a team on the ground ensuring all logistics are in place. The guide and assistant will provide commentary along the way, and provide an orientation tour of Soweto’s famous sites (no museums included) whilst you travel between the teambuilding venues. The guides/facilitator as well as ground support staff (with vehicle) will also co-ordinate the below teambuilding activities:
- Soweto Team building element taking in various areas of Soweto (the group will be divided into competing colour-coded teams) and will compete in the following teambuilding sections:
- Team War Cry: En route to Soweto the teams must prepare a war cry which they will perform outside Soccer City Stadium where they will be judged accordingly
- Bara Market Treasure Hunt: Each team will be given a cash allowance of R 500.00 and given a list of tasks to do (some “fear factor” style) and items to purchase in and around the market area adjoining the Bara Taxi Rank. The grocery purchases will then be taken to the Ekukhanyeni Creche and handed over to the kids/teachers, the items purchased will include much-needed groceries for the facility, a small donation will be handed over to the teachers as well, there will be some memento items purchased which the delegates can keep for themselves, the treasure hunt will also incorporate a team selfie challenge where the teams search for images of various landmarks and places in the area and have to replicate a team selfie pic of those images
- Orlando Towers Wall Climbing: Here each team will select several members who will compete in a timed relay climbing up and down to and from a point on the Orlando Towers
- Gumboot Dance Competition: Here each team will be taught a Gumboot Dance Routine by the World Renowned Kliptown Youth Programme Dance troupe once taught the routine the teams will compete on stage and be judged on their performances, of course, the famous KYP dancers will give a performance to show how it is done
Beer Pong Competition: This fun activity takes place at the Soweto Beer Co. Brewery (home to the famous Soweto Gold) each team will be timed on bouncing a ping pong into beer glasses until they get it 5 times, 1 x drink (selected beer, cider or soft drink) per person included at the brewery
* After each of the above tasks the teams will get points depending where they came – we add up the points to get the overall winners. - A hand painted unique Calabash Trophy (with your logo) given to the winning team
- A prize to each person from the winning team as well as random spot prizes
- A Unique Soweto Cap per person in the colours of their team
- A delicious Shisanyama (Braai/BBQ) style lunch at Chaf Pozi Restaurant located at the foot of the Orlando Towers
- 3 x drinks vouchers per person (exchangeable for selected beer, cider, glass of wine or soft) to be used at the Soweto brewery and at lunch
